Monk Mona

A strap shoe that gained popularity in Europe, initially due to its hardiness and endurance, making it the ideal work shoe. The obvious lack of lacing is the staple of the monk shoe, which has a very similar construction method to that of the Derby model, with the distinction of the upper vamp which is completely covered in the Monk and secured by a buckle and strap. Not as formal as an oxford but in close proximity, the Monk can adequately complement a suit or informal attire. The usual buckle and added Velcro to the strap, making it extremely versatile and quickly adjustable.
